Come and Celebrate Life with Naomi! sparkling cider & goodies will be served. We are looking for volunteers to help out, so if you schedule allows please show up around 4pm.

Time CHANGE!!

BrotherJoe October 31st, 2008

Guess what?  Time Change is set for Sunday!  Yes, I know, why do we keep doing this Daylite savings time bit??  But we do, so we are, and so we need to move our clocks BACK 1 hour when we head for bed Saturday nite.  If you don;t do this, then you will arrive at church service an hour before you need to, which is good with me!
I am knowing you are having a great Friday Halloween!  Watch out for the kiddies tonite when you are driving, and THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, bring some candy to church service on Sunday!  (Hey, I like candy, and it is all about me right now)!

Faith Communities Speak Out In Opposition To Prop 8

riowaller October 31st, 2008

Rally in opposition to Proposition 8. Sunday, November 2nd from 2:00-4:00. Fresno City Hall Plaza - 2600 Fresno Street, Fresno, CA  93721. Featured Speaker: Father Geoffrey Farrow who recently came out in opposition to Prop 8 and Christine Chavez; granddaughter of Cesar Chavez and former Political Director for the United Farm Workers. Additional Speakers: The Reverend Bryan Jessup of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno, as well as many others.  For more information call (559) 862-4559. Thank you for your support.
Please vote NO on Prop 8.

Fresno’s No on Proposition 8 welcomes hundreds of supporters for a loving and welcoming rally that will highlight faith communities throughout the Fresno area.  There will be representatives available to disclaim any misleading information regarding this controversial proposition, in English and Spanish.

In a highly emotional and personal issue such as same sex marriage, it is important to show that many faith communities exist in the Central Valley who are open, welcoming and support the rights of same sex couples.

Our rights to free speech are being denied by the opposing side.  We feel that there is no other recourse but to physically rally to get our voices heard.

I beg of you to take the time to vote and to convince all that you know to vote on or before November 4 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBSy5V4t7sI - Vote NO on Prop 8 - help me stop the elimination of a fundamental right to have the responsibility, dignity and respect that ONLY MARRIAGE can provide.
